The Experience

Before You Go

Know the bike fit

Arrive with your height and inseam info so the guide can adjust a full-suspension bike to fit you and avoid discomfort on long climbs.

Hydrate and eat early

Carry a 1–2L hydration pack and eat the provided lunch before the harder afternoon sections to maintain energy.

Expect variable traction

Choose grippy tires or bring a set if you have them—spring and winter mud can hide roots and rocks.

Communicate limits

Tell your guide about recent injuries or limit your runs—guides will adapt routes to your ability for safety and fun.

Local Knowledge

Hidden Gems

  • Duthie Hill skills loop and pump track — great for warm-ups and focused technique practice
  • Smaller south-facing connectors at Raging River that dry first and offer fast flow lines

Wildlife

  • Black-tailed deer
  • Bald eagles and occasional osprey along river corridors

Conservation Note

Riders are encouraged to stay on singletrack, avoid widening turns in wet conditions, pack out trash, and support local trail organizations to reduce erosion and keep access open.

The trail networks follow old logging roads and ridgelines shaped by glacial activity; local volunteer groups and mountain bike advocates have built and maintain much of the current trail system.
